DEMENTIA AND AGING

Our aging population, more frequent dementia diagnoses, increasing standards of care, changing societal expectations, present huge challenges for the provision of quality aged care in Australia.

1000 people are diagnosed each week with dementia in Australia.
meaning this is a condition that affects many, many families' lives.

The McAuley Foundation aims to support the essential research needed into dementia and other conditions of aging. Research projects would seek to identify the most effective, compassionate and appropriate forms of treatment and care for the elderly, at home and in residential settings of care.
